Automaton Strokes consists of images and a video from one of my programming projects. The program creates around a thousand autonomous agents. An autonomous agent is anything that can move by itself, without outside input. This program traces their paths around the window with a colored trail, and then outputs an image.
The color of these trails, and the rules for each agents' movement is randomized after a certain number of frames. The colors are drawn from 12 palettes I created, and stored as small images. When the program starts, or restarts, it randomly chooses one of these images, and takes the color value of one pixel for each of the agents.
